We are delighted to announce Brake as our new charity for this year.
There was a very pertinent reason why our members voted unanimously for this charity. Last year our beloved league mate Louisey Rider tragically lost her life after being knocked off of her bike on a Nottingham city centre road whilst commuting to work. Naturally this had a massive impact on us; we wanted to do everything we could to minimise the risk of this happening again.
A bit more about the charity:
Brake is a road safety charity working with communities and organisations across the UK to stop the tragedy of road deaths and injuries. Brake work tirelessly to make streets and communities safer for everyone, whilst also supporting people bereaved and seriously injured on our roads. You can find out more on their website below.
