DESCRIPTION:Skater Intake – Learn to play roller derby\n\n\n\n \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n \n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nIf you’re looking for an exciting\, full-contact team sport that’s fast\, strategic\, challenging and welcoming\, we’d love to hear from you. \n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nOur next intake:13th September 2026 \n\n\n\nReady to join? Complete our JOIN AN INATKE FORM \n\n\n\nWe will then get in contact to let you know if there are spaces available. \n\n\n\nSessions take place Sundays 12:30 – 2.30pm at Southglade Leisure Centre\, Bestwood. Nottingham. \n\n\n\n \n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nOur intake is designed for people who want to learn and play roller derby. SUMMARY:HOME GAME: NRD goes Spooky (plus rookie game!)
DESCRIPTION:On October 31st make sure to grab your friends and family and head over to Lee Westwood Sports Centre for a spooky day of live roller derby! \n\n\n\n*Including THREE roller derby games*Keep your eyes peeled for Halloween themed rookie game tickets! Get the date in your calendar\, tickets will be on sale soon. \n\n\n\nUnfamiliar with roller derby? Come along and find out what it’s all about! Expect to see a fast-paced\, full-contact sport on skates. There will be hard hitting\, skilled skating and a hell of a lot of team spirit. \n\n\n\nAs well as these fantastic full-length games of roller derby\, we’ll have a great range of stalls on the day\, including an always-popular cake and savoury treats stand and an exciting raffle. \n\n\n\nThis is a family friendly event – children under the age of 16 are welcome free of charge. Please note that under 18s are not permitted in the track-side seating area for safety reasons. \n\n\n\n*Schedule*– 10am: Doors Open– 10:30am: First whistle for Game 1– 12:30pm: First whistle for Game 2– 2:30pm: First whistle for Game 3 \n\n\n\n*Accessibility*:Lee Westwood Sports Centre is fully wheelchair accessible with step-free access to the hall and accessible toilets. Carers enter for free. \n\n\n\n*Rookie Game*:– Tickets coming soon– Open to skaters who have played 5 or fewer games (or by coach discretion)– Must be deemed safe to play by your league.– Follows WFTDA gender policy (open to identifying female\, non-binary\, and gender-expansive skaters). \n\n\n\n*Spectator Tickets*:Spectator tickets on See Tickets \n\n\n\n*Concession tickets*:Available for those with disabilities\, seniors\, and full-time students. \n\n\n\n*Parking*:– Lots of parking is available around the campus. When you arrive please look for the MAIN car park entrance on campus. There will be a parking barrier code in place that you can use to access. \n\n\n\nPlease note that this event is a safe space; we welcome everyone and will do our best to ensure that guests\, skaters\, officials and volunteers can enjoy the day\, without feeling uncomfortable or unsafe.
