NRD goes NEON: Roller derby triple header (including rookie game!)

On August 1st make sure to grab your friends and family and head over to Lee Westwood Sports Centre for a day of live roller derby sponsored by our friends Neon Raptor Brewing Co!

Unfamiliar with roller derby? Come along and find out what it’s all about! Expect to see a fast-paced, full-contact sport on skates. There will be hard hitting, skilled skating and a hell of a lot of team spirit.
As well as these fantastic full-length games of roller derby, we’ll have a great range of stalls on the day, including an always-popular cake and savoury treats stand and an exciting raffle.
This is a family friendly event – children under the age of 16 are welcome free of charge. Please note that under 18s are not permitted in the track-side seating area for safety reasons.

*Accessibility*:
Lee Westwood Sports Centre is fully wheelchair accessible with step-free access to the hall and accessible toilets. Carers enter for free.
*Rookie Game*:
– Open to skaters who have played 5 or fewer games (or by coach discretion)
– Must be deemed safe to play by your league.
– Follows WFTDA gender policy (open to identifying female, non-binary, and gender-expansive skaters).
– £18 to play- includes a custom scrimmage top (sponsored by Neon Raptor Brewing!)

*Parking*:
– Lots of parking is available around the campus. When you arrive please look for the MAIN car park entrance on campus. There will be a parking barrier code in place that you can use to access. The code will be announced week of the event.
