Skater Intake – Learn to play roller derby

Sessions take place Sundays 12:30 – 2.30pm at Southglade Leisure Centre, Bestwood. Nottingham.

Our intake is designed for people who want to learn and play roller derby. You don’t need any previous skating experience, we’ll teach you everything you need to know, from skating fundamentals through to the skills, rules and gameplay that make roller derby such an incredible sport.

Our team is WFTDA-aligned, so we have player spaces for those who identify as women or gender expansive, and Officials spaces for folks of all genders.

What You’ll Need
We have loan equipment available on a first come, first served basis, including:

Quad skates
Knee pads
Elbow pads
Wrist guards

You’ll need to bring:

A helmet (required for every session)

Once you begin contact training, you’ll also need a mouthguard
