With a fond farewell to our chosen charity in 2015/16 – Brake and with pride that we were able to raise over £6000 for a cause close to our hearts. The culmination of this being the Louisey Rider Cup – which we will continue to run on behalf of Brake in 2017 as well.
We are delighted to announce Mind as our new chosen charity for this year. This is a cause close to many of our player’s hearts. Many people are touched in some way or other by mental health issues and we wanted to do our bit to help out.
A bit more about the charity:
Mind provide advice and support to empower anyone experiencing a mental health problem. We campaign to improve services, raise awareness and promote understanding. Because of Mind, millions more people have access to advice and support thanks to our information and services nationally and locally, in England and Wales. We’re building on change, but we know there is much more to do.
Local Minds
Our local Minds support over 375,000 people across England and Wales. Their services include supported housing, crisis helplines, drop-in centres, employment and training schemes, counselling and befriending. Find out if there is one where you live.
