We’re now just over halfway through the 2014 Heartland Series, and what an exciting tournament it’s been so far! Day 4 of the North East games sees hosts Oxford Roller Derby take on Rebellion, while our Nottingham Roller Girls give it their all against division favourites Cambridge Rollerbillies. The Rollerbillies had a very strong tournament in 2013, emerging undefeated from their division in 2013 before losing out to Severn Roller Torrent in the final. Read more
The Super Smash Brollers were on fine brolling form last Saturday, as they brought the Manchester Roller Derby Chaos Engine to a grinding halt. The two teams fought hard, but SSB emerged victorious with a win of 325-105. Read more
The first Super Smash Brollers home game of the summer sees them pitched against The Inhuman League’s Zom.B.Cru. from Sheffield, almost a year to the day since the visitors played their first public game. Read more
It was the second game of the Heartland Series for the Nottingham Roller Girls and they were taking nothing for granted. Despite being on a roll with a streak of wins, one of which was a hard fought victory against Oxford in their first Heartland outing, NRG were not about to lose focus and give nothing less than 100% when taking on Rebellion Roller Derby. WINNING STREAK!!! There, we said it. Nottingham Roller Girls are on a winning streak, winning six of their last seven games and most recently claiming a 199 point victory against the South East Division’s Bedfordshire Roller Girls. On day three of the North East competition, they are set to take on BRG’s cross-county rivals, Rebellion Roller Derby. Read more
